Any Discovery owner will know about staining of the side step aluminium trims. You’ve cleaned your car, polished it, dressed the plastic trim, but when it comes to these aluminium trims nothing seems to work.
What we do is strip off the lacquer and polish up the aluminum with fine steel wool and Autosol. We then thoroughly clean and degrease with panel wipe. Once dry we apply a ceramic coat.
